91. Right of owners of agricultural lands not exceeding half an acre

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Any person who does not own agricultural land or land less than half an acre in extent may apply to the President for the grant of any State land, or the grant of land by any other institution. For the purposes of this section agricultural land owned by the spouse or minor children of such person shall be deemed to be land owned by such person.
