29. This Act to prevail over other written law

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The provisions of this Act shall have effect notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Control of

Insurance Act or any other written law, and accordingly, in the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions of this Act and such other law, the provisions of this Act shall prevail.
