29. Declaration of secrecy

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Every member of the Authority and all officers and servants of the Authority shall, before entering upon his duties, sign a declaration pledging to observe strict secrecy in respect of all matters connected with the affairs of the Authority, which has come to his knowledge in the performance or exercise of his duties and powers, and shall by such declaration pledge himself not to disclose any such matter, except—

(a)

when required to do so by a court of law ; or

(b)

for the purpose of exercising or discharging the powers and duties under this Act or any other written law.
