33. Equivalent of SDR in rupees

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The equivalent in Sri Lankan rupees of SDR for purpose of imposing a fine for an offence under Part VI of this Act, shall be made on the basis of the value of the rupee determined in terms of SDR, for the date proceeding the date of the commission of the offence in respect of which such fine is being imposed.
