17. Pending actions to be subject to this Act

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

All actions and matters which have been filed in the

District Court but in respect of which no date has been fixed for trial shall also be subject to the provisions of as on the date of coming into operation of this Act.

Proof of document unnecessary unless it is impeached.
