Part X · Approval of Arrangements, Amalgamations, and Compromises by Court

258. Application of Part VIII

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The court shall not approve an arrangement or amalgamation or compromise under section 256 if it could be effected under Part VIII or this Part or under any other provisions of this Act, unless it is satisfied that it is not reasonably practicable to do so.
