Part XII · Winding Up

295. Payments by liquidator into bank

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

(1)

Every liquidator of a company which is being wound up by the court shall pay the money received by him into an account or accounts established for the purpose at one or more licenced commercial banks.

(2)

A liquidator of a company which is being wound up by the court shall not pay any sums received by him as liquidator into his private banking account.
