47. Privileges of witnesses

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Every person who gives evidence before the Council shall in respect of such evidence, be entitled to all the privileges to which a witness giving evidence before a court of law is entitled to in respect of evidence given by him before such court.
