16. Commission to collect levy on behalf of the government

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The levy, collected by the Commission on behalf of the Government in respect of each month in terms of section 15, shall be credited within seven days from the receipt of the levy as provided for in section 15 to the Consolidated Fund.
