12. Investigations and Inquiries to be concluded within six months

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Every investigation and inquiry under section 11

shall be concluded within a period of six months from the date of commencement of such investigation or inquiry unless an extension of time is obtained with the approval of the Minister.
