39. The Fund of the Council

(1)

There shall be established a Fund called

“Homoeopathic Fund” (hereinafter referred to as the “Fund”)

of the Council.

(2)

There shall be paid into the Fund of the Council -

(a)

all such sums of money as may be received in the exercise, performance and discharge of its powers, duties and functions under this Act;

(b)

all such sums of money voted from time to time by Parliament;

(c)

any fees received from Homoeopathic practitioners and examinees;

(d)

any loans and other sums of money received by the Council; and

(e)

any grant, gift or donation in cash or kind received from the Government of Sri Lanka or from a foreign Country:

Provided that, the Council shall obtain the prior written approval of the Department of

External Resources of the Ministry of the

Minister assigned the subject of National

Policies and Economic Affairs in respect of any grant, gift or donation received by the Council from a foreign country.

(3)

There shall be paid out of the Fund all the expenditure incurred in implementing the provisions of this Act.
