34. Secrecy

Every director, officer or auditor of the
Director
“ Director ” means a director of the Board; 26 Housing Development Finance Corporation of
Corporation shall before cntcring upon his duties, sign a declaration pledging himself to observe strict secrecy respecting all transactions, of the Corporation and all matters relating to such transactions and shall by such declaration pledge himself not to reveal any such transaction or matter except—
when required so to do by the Board, a court of law, or the person to whom that transaction or matter relates ;
in the performance of his duties under this Act ; and
in order to comply with any of the provisions of this
Act or any other law.

Every director, officer or auditor of the Corporation shall decline to answer any question conceming the business of the Corporation if he cannot answer the question without infringing his pledge of secrecy under subsection (1).
