27. Code of Professional Conduct

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

(1)

The Code of Professional Conduct applicable to the members of the Institute shall be specified by way of rules made under this Act within one year from the date of commencement of this Act.

(2)

Any member who acts in contravention of the professional standards specified in the Code of Professional

Conduct shall be subject to a disciplinary inquiry and may be disqualified from membership under section 8.
