126. Rights of licensee

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

In the absence of any provision to the contrary in the licence contract, the licensee shall –

(a)

be entitled to use the mark within the territory of

Sri Lanka, during the entire period of registration of the mark, including renewals, in respect of all the goods or services for which the mark is registered ;

(b)

not be entitled to assign or transmit his rights under the licence contract or grant sub-licences to third parties.
