14. Insertion of new section 186A in the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The following new section is hereby inserted immediately after section 186 of the principal enactment and shall have effect as section 186A of that enactment:-

186A. The provisions relating to offences and penalties in respect of Marks as specified in this Part shall mutatis mutandis apply in respect of geographical indications.”.
