4. Amendment of section. 12 of the principal enactment

Section 12 of the principal enactment is hereby amended by the addition, at the end of that section, of the following new subsection :—

“ (4) In calculating the period of prescription for the purpose of any action or proceeding in a civil court in respect of any such mortgage, lease, usufruct or life inter-est as is referred to in subsection (1) the period commencing on-the date“on which the agricultural land

(which was subject to the mortgage, lease, usufruct or life interest), was vested in the Commission and ending on the date.on which the compensation payable to the owner of such Jand is determined shall be excluded. ”.
