6. Amendment of section 18 of the principal enactment

Section 18 of the principal enactment is hereby amended by the insertion, immediately after subsection (4)
of that section, of the following new subsection :—
Notwithstanding anything in subsection (4), any person who becomes by reason of marriage or by way of inheritance, or both, the owner of agricultural land in excess of the ceiling on any day after the date of enact-ment of this subsection (in this subsectiih referred to as the “relevant date”) and who has failed to transfer by way of sale or otherwise such excess within a period

of two years from the relevant date shall, within one month after the expiration of such period, make a decla-
