5. Amendment of section 13 of the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Section 13 of the principal enactment is hereby amended as follows :—

(a)

in subsection (1) of that section by the substitution for all the words from “The term of office” to “shall”, of the following :—

“The term of office of the Governor, and of any person appointed under paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of section 8 (hereinafter referred to as “an appointed member”) shall,”; and

(b)

in subsection (2) of that section by the substitution for the words “by the appointed member” of the words “by an appointed member”.
