14. Board to exercise its powers and perform its functions under the directions of the Minister

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The Minister may, from time to time, issue such general or special directions to the Board relating to the exercise and performance of its powers and functions under this Act and it shall be the duty of the Board to comply with such directions.
