7. Retrospective effect

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The amendment made to section 3 of the principal enactment by section 2 (2) of this Act, shall be deemed for all purposes to have come into force on April 1, 1999.
