3. Replacement of the word “Republic” for the word “Queen” in the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The word “Queen”, wherever it appears in the principal enactment, other than in sections 19, 115 and 120

thereof, shall be substituted with the word “Republic”.
