80. Profit generated from and the cost of the management of proceeds of crime

(1)

Any profit or other proceeds derived or generated from the management of proceeds of crime shall with the prior approval of the High Court, be utilized by the party to whom the management of the property has been vested by the High Court for –

(a)

the development of the same financial, business or trade activity;

(b)

any other lawful financial, trade or commercial activity; or

(c)

investing in the most appropriate manner.

(2)

It shall be lawful for the person authorized by the

High Court to protect, preserve and manage the suspected proceeds of crime, with the permission of the High Court to deduct the sum of money lawfully expended by him for the protection, preservation, and management of the said property or to have such sum of money reimbursed from the

Authority.
