9. Powers, duties and functions of the Committee

The powers, duties and functions of the Committee shall be to:–

(a)

review and opine on the debt management strategy and its updates prepared by the Office, ensuring the consistency of the debt management strategy with macroeconomic policies;

(b)

review and opine on the annual borrowing plan and its performance;

(c)

review domestic and international market conditions and provide recommendations on the risk associated with public debt and opportunities in the market and on official development assistance; and

(d)

perform such other functions as may be assigned to it by the Minister for the purposes of achieving the objectives under section 3.
