39. Provision for conflict with other written laws

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The provisions of this Act and the regulations, rules or orders made thereunder shall have effect notwithstanding

Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka anything inconsistent therewith contained in any other relevant

Act other than this Act and in the event of any conflict between the provisions of this Act and the provisions of any other relevant Act the provisions of this Act shall prevail.
