7. Objections against recognition of a foreign judgment for the dissolution or annulment of a marriage or separation of the parties to a marriage in Sri Lanka

A respondent to an application for the recognition and registration of a foreign judgment for the dissolution or annulment of a marriage or separation of the parties to a marriage, upon receipt of a notice issued under paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 6, may appear before the registering court and object to such application on the ground that-

(a)

the applicant has failed to satisfy any of the requirements set out in section 4;

(b)

there is fraud; or

(c)

there is a misrepresentation of facts relevant to the application and the affidavit made under section 4.
