10. Insertion of new section 28A in the Principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The following section is hereby inserted immediately after section 28, and shall have effect as section 28A of the principal enactment:-

28A. (1) The Minister may give the Board general directions as to the exercise of the powers and discharge of the functions, of the

Board, and it shall be the duty of the Board to give effect to every such direction.

(2)

The Minister may direct the Board, in writing, to furnish him with such information with respect to the discharge of the functions of the Board as may be specified in such writing and it shall be the duty of the Board to give effect to every such direction”.
