Part I

8. Powers of the Minister to issue guidelines and directions

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

(a)

The Minister may issue to the Board such guidelines or directions as are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, relating to the policy to be followed in the performance and exercise of the functions and powers of the Board.

(b)

The Board shall comply with any guidelines or directions issued by the Minister.
