6. Board to exercise, discharge and perform its powers, duties and functions in compliance with the general policy of the Government

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

In the exercise, discharge and performance of its powers, duties and functions, the Board shall comply with the general policy of the Government in relation to the textile and apparel industry and with any general or special directions that may from time to time be issued by the Minister in relation to implementation of such policy.
