8. Terms of office of the appointed members of the Commission

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Every appointed member of the Commission shall, unless he vacates office earlier by death, resignation or removal, hold office for a period of three years from the date of his appointment and shall, unless he has been removed from office be eligible for re-appointment for not more than one further term, whether consecutive or otherwise.
