53. Replacement of Article 155M of the Constitution

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Article 155M of the Constitution is hereby repealed and the following Article substituted therefor:-

155M. All rules, regulations and procedures in force on the date of the commencement of this

Article relating to police officers shall be deemed to continue to be operative, until rules, regulations and procedures are made hereunder by the Public

Service Commission.”.
