26. Replacement of Article 155M of the Constitution

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Article 155M of the Constitution is hereby repealed and the following Article is substituted therefor:-

155M. Until the Commission otherwise provides, all rules, regulations and procedures relating to the Police Force as are in force on the date of the coming into operation of this

Article, shall continue to be operative and in force.”.
