Part X · Testimony Through Contemporaneous Audio-Visual Linkage

89. A witness deemed to be a witness of the court

(1)

A victim of crime or witness giving evidence or making a statement through contemporaneous audio-visual linkage from a remote location under this Part of this Act shall be deemed for all purposes to be a victim of crime or witness giving evidence or making a statement before the court.

(2)

For the purposes of this Part of this Act, “court” means a court before which any criminal proceedings are being conducted.
