8. Transfer and vesting of property &c. in the Authority

On and after such date as the Minister shall appoint by Order published in the Gazette (hereinafter referred to as the “transfer date”) :—

(a)

all movable and immovable property transferred to and vested in the Director-General of Civil Aviation appointed under section 20 of the Air Navigation

Act, and which is in his possession on the day immediately preceding the transfer date, shall be transferred to and vest in the Authority with effect from such date ;

(b)

all contracts, leases or tenancy agreements entered into by, with or for the Director-General of Civil

Aviation appointed under section 20 of the Air

Navigation Act, and subsisting on the day immediately preceding the transfer date, shall with effect from such date be deemed to be contracts, leases or tenancy agreements entered into by, with or for the Authority ; and

(c)

all rights, obligations, interests, debts and liabilities of the Director-General of Civil Aviation appointed under section 20 of the Air Navigation Act, subsisting on the day immediately preceding the transfer date, shall with effect from such date, be deemed to be rights, obligations, interests, debts and liabilities of the Authority.
