Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The court may at any time either before or after making a winding up order, on reasonable cause being shown for believing that a contributory is about to leave Sri Lanka or otherwise to abscond or to remove or conceal any of his property for the purpose of evading payment of calls, or for avoiding examination with respect to the affairs of the company, may cause the contributory to be arrested, and his books and papers and movable personal property to be seized and kept in safe custody until such time, as the court may specify.
