31. Presumptions

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

For the purposes of the application of the provisions of the Penal Code (Chapter 19) in relation to an offence committed under this Act—

(a)

an offence under this Act committed outside the territory of Sri Lanka shall be deemed to have been committed in Sri Lanka; and

(b)

any information referred to in this Act shall be deemed to be property.
