Part II

11. Establishment of the Economic Commission of Sri Lanka

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

(1)

There shall be established a Commission which shall be called the Economic Commission of Sri Lanka (in this Act referred to as the “Economic Commission”).

(2)

The Economic Commission shall, by the name assigned to it under subsection (1), be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal and may sue and be sued in such name.

(3)

The Commission shall have its principal office in Sri

Lanka and may establish any branch office or other representation within or outside Sri Lanka.
