s 1Short title and date of operation

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Economic

Transformation Act, No. 45 of 2024.

(2)

The provisions of this Act other than the provisions of Part II, Part III and section 193 shall come into operation on the date on which certificate of the Speaker is endorsed in respect of this Act in terms of Article 79 of the Constitution.

(3)

The provisions of Part II, Part III and section 193

shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may appoint by Order published in Gazette, which shall be a date within three months from date of the certificate of the Speaker referred to in subsection (2) (hereinafter referred to as the

“appointed date”).
