166. Constitution of the Institute Board

The Institute Board shall consist of –
the following ex-officio members, namely:–
the Secretary to the Treasury or his nominee who shall be an officer not below the rank of a Director General of a Department in the
Ministry of the Minister assigned the subject of Finance;
a nominee of the Economic Commission;
the Ambassador for International Trade;
three members appointed by the Minister who shall possess academic and professional qualifications and has experience in one or more of the fields of
Economics, International Finance and International
Trade Studies; and
the following nominated members: -
a member nominated by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce established by Ceylon
Chamber of
Commerce
Ordinance
(Chapter 289);
a member nominated by the Federation of
Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri
Lanka registered under the Companies Act,
No. 07 of 2007; and
a Professor of Economics nominated by the
University Grants Commission established by the Universities Act, No. 16 of 1978.
