18. Amendment of Article 104E of the Constitution

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Article 104E of the Constitution is hereby amended in paragraph (1) thereof, by the substitution for the words

“who shall, subject to the approval of the Constitutional

Council,” of the words “who shall”.
