Section 12

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Section 11 of the principal enactment is hereby amended in subsection (2) of that section, by the substitution for all the words from “be liable” to the end of that subsection, of the words “be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand rupees or imprisonment of either decription for a period not exceeding twelve months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
