6. Amendment of section 6 of the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Section 6 of the principal enactment is hereby amended in subsection (2) of that section by the substitution for all the words from “be liable” to the end of that subsection of the words, “be liable to a fine not exceeding five thousand rupees and in the case of a second or subsequent offence to a fine not exceeding ten thousand rupees.”.
