Part XI

210. Savings of Patents

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The validity of the original entry of a Patent on the register of Patents existing on the day immediately preceeding the date of commencement of this Act or any

Register of Patents which was kept under the previous laws and was incorporated with and declared to form Part of the

Register of Patent shall be deemed to have been registered under Part IV of this Act. Every such Patent shall however retain its Original date.
