21. Amendment of section 59B of the principal enactment

Section 59B of the principal enactment is hereby amended as follows:-
by the substitution, in subsection (1) of that section, for the words, “he shall inform the assistant returning officer appointed by the returning officer to supervise the polling in the ward in which such polling station is situated, of such fact and such assistant returning officer shall”, of the words, “he shall inform the returning officer through the assistant returning officer who supervises the polling in the ward in which such polling station is situated, of such fact and such returning officer shall”;

by the substitution, in subsection (2) of that section, for the words, “shall be notified by the assistant returning officer, to the counting agents”, of the words, “shall be notified by the assistant returning officer to the returning officer and thereafter to the counting agents”; and
by the substitution, in subsection (3) of that section, for the words, “The counting of votes at the new venue as determined by the assistant returning officer”, of the words, “After the returning officer being notified of the new venue, the counting of votes at the new venue as determined by the supervising assistant returning officer”.
