15. The Director, Media and Information Services

(1)

The Director, Media and Information Services of the University shall be appointed by the Board of

Governors of the University upon the recommendation of a select committee, the composition of which shall be prescribed by Ordinance, and shall function as a full-time officer of the University.

(2)

The Director, Media and Information Services shall—

(a)

subject to the direction and control of the Vice

Chancellor, be responsible for the general administration of the Media and Information Centre or Centres of the University; and

Ocean University of Sri Lanka

(b)

exercise, perform and discharge such powers, duties and functions as may be conferred or imposed on or assigned to him by this Act or by any appropriate instrument.
