184. Derivatives not gaming or wagering contracts

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any other law, a derivative contract traded through an exchange shall not be taken to be a gaming or wagering contract.
