29. Amendment of Article 128 of the Constitution

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Article 128 of the Constitution is hereby amended, by the addition, immediately after paragraph (4) of that Article, of the following new paragraph:-

“(5) Any application for leave to appeal or special leave to appeal made to the Supreme Court under this

Article may be granted or refused, as the case may be, by not less than two Judges of the Supreme Court.”.
