55. Aircraft accident or incident investigations

The Authority shall in accordance with such regulations as may be prescribed, institute an investigation into any accident or incident arising out of or in the course of air navigation, where such accident or incident had occurred within the territory of Sri Lanka or is in respect of an aircraft registered in Sri Lanka or an aircraft operated by an operator of Sri Lanka, for the purpose of :—

The Minister shall in prescribing regulations for purpose of subsection (1), comply with the applicable SARPS relating to investigations into aircraft accidents or incidents, as the case may be.
