9. Amendment of section 27 of the principal enactment

Section 27 of the principal enactment is hereby amended by the substitution for the words “and the State

Gem Corporation Act, No. 13 of 1971 apply.”, of the words

“and the State Gem Corporation Act, No. 13 of 1971 apply:

Provided however, for the purposes of paragraph (b) of section 12 of this Act, the Bureau shall receive data and reports of all surveys and investigations pertaining to the search of hydrocarbons and gems carried out within the territory of Sri Lanka.”.
