11. Amendment of Article 56 of the Constitution

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Article 56 of the Constitution is hereby amended in paragraph (1) of that Article, by the substitution for the words

“as are specified by the Cabinet of Ministers”, of the words

“as are specified by the Commission”.
