12. Amendment of section 24 of the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Section 24 of the principal enactment is hereby amended by the substitution for the words “to a fine not less than ten thousand rupees and not exceeding fifty thousand rupees” of the words “to a fine not less than one hundred thousand rupees and not exceeding five hundred thousand rupees”.
